Outside Looking In: Happy birthday and anniversary

Saturday was my mom's birthday. It was also my parent's 39 year wedding anniversary. We had a great dinner and nice conversation. We love you guys!

Who is that?

If you are just visiting my page, and haven't read through any of my posts yet, my photo is of my adopted retired racing greyhound Rene. Once you start reading my blog, you will see Rene takes center stage in many of my posts! Rene has been a transforming part of my life, as my life has taken often times unwanted and some desired random twists and turns. The one constant thing Rene reminds me of is the importance of loving care for one another during all these winding road trips. Oh, and no…I am not spelling her name wrong…it ends with one "e" instead of two. From Wikipedia: René (born again or reborn in French) is a common first name in both French-speaking and Spanish-speaking countries. It derives from the Latin name Renatus. René is the masculine form of the name (Renée being the feminine form). Perhaps the masculine form was used for her during her previous career, but her demure and delicate self, along with her love of all things pink, show her feminine side.
